About the place
Six kilometres of reef-protected beach and a paved promenade from Matahari Terbit to Mertasari where people jog and cycle in the morning. The water is calm and shallow at low tide, which is why families and older guests love Sanur.
Hotels from the 1970s, cafés and jukung boats line the promenade. It is the south's only east-facing beach and sunrises became its main attraction.
