About the place
A lotus pond in the centre of Candidasa opposite Pura Candidasa temple, which gave the village its name. A promenade with cafés and hotels surrounds it and the main road passes alongside.
It is the reference point of the centre: villas and hotels along the coast measure their distance from here. In the evening the lagoon is quiet and only the surf is heard.
