About the place

A water temple on the main street, built in the 1950s by architect Gusti Nyoman Lempad. A walkway crosses a lotus pond to the gate, and in the evening kecak and legong are danced on the stage in front. It is dedicated to the goddess of knowledge and the arts, fitting for Ubud: the town lives on galleries, music and dance schools.

Museum Puri Lukisan with its collection of Balinese painting is next door.
