About the place
Canggu's main beach and the point the whole area grew around. Black volcanic sand, a soft long wave over a sandy bottom and dozens of surf schools: most of the island's beginners stand up on a board here for the first time. Cafés and bars line the shore and the beach fills completely towards sunset.
For a villa owner it is the yardstick for distance: properties 5–10 minutes by scooter from Batu Bolong rent best and highest. Parking is paid, there is one road to the beach and it jams at rush hour.
