New offices
Bali's regional immigration office scheduled the opening of offices in Tabanan and Klungkung for 6 April 2026. Previously, residents of Canggu, Kedungu, Bedugul and East Bali had to travel to Denpasar or Jimbaran.
What's New Indonesia also reports plans for permanent immigration service points in major shopping malls. A pilot in Kuta ran in late 2025 and focused on stay permit extensions.
The Tabanan office is closer to the west of the island, including Canggu and Kedungu. The Klungkung office serves the eastern part of the island.
Hotlines
At the same time, 24-hour phone lines were opened for reporting immigration violations. The regional office, the Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Singaraja, Tabanan and Klungkung offices and the detention centre each have a number.
Regional head Felucia Sengky Ratna said the public can report the whereabouts of foreigners who break immigration rules.
For example, the regional office number is 0822-2161-6066. Numbers for individual offices are listed in the same announcement.
The numbers
In 2025 Bali immigration deported 359 foreigners. Overstaying a stay permit was the most common reason. Russian, Australian and US citizens topped the list.
Service for short stays
For short trips the 30-day electronic visa on arrival remains the simplest option. It is arranged online before departure.
The mall service points are aimed at people staying longer or returning often. Authorities want to bring immigration services to places people already visit.
The new offices and hotlines are meant to speed up both service for foreigners and the detection of violations.
