LP2B (protected food-crop land)

LP2B (защищённые продовольственные земли) · Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan

In one sentence. A status for land permanently reserved for food production under Law 41/2009; conversion to development is prohibited — in Bali, with criminal liability.

LP2B (Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan) is the category of land the state reserves for agriculture permanently under Law No. 41/2009. LP2B plots are fixed in the regency RTRW and cannot be converted to housing or tourism, save for exceptional state projects with like-for-like land compensation.

In Bali this is above all the subak rice-terrace system — part of the landscape recognised by UNESCO in 2012. Perda No. 4/2026 added criminal sanctions and froze conversion permits.

For a buyer: if the plot or part of it is LP2B, neither a KKPR nor a PBG can be obtained. Check on the Gianyar regency RTRW map and by enquiry to the agriculture office; the seller will rarely volunteer it.
