Half year totals
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia), about 3.2 million foreign visitors arrived in Bali between January and June 2026. In the same period a year earlier the figure was 3.28 million, so arrivals fell 2.42%.
Almost all came by air, with 3.18 million visits. Only 15,590 people arrived by sea.
That averages about 534,000 foreign visitors a month. The shortfall against last year came to roughly 80,000 visits over six months.
The top ten
Australia remains the leading market with 802,837 visits, or 25.06% of the total. China (285,120), India (278,056), the UK (138,164) and the US (134,519) follow.
The rest of the top ten were South Korea (134,021), Russia (109,595), France (105,506), Malaysia (99,604) and Singapore (91,749). All other countries together accounted for about 1.02 million visits.
June on its own
The BPS Bali release for June says arrivals rose 4.63% from May, when 578,251 visits were recorded. Australians made up 25.9% of June arrivals.
The half year closed below last year. Still, the market remains broad: apart from Australia, no single country accounts for more than 9% of arrivals.
Russia, Asia and Australia
For the Russian speaking market it is notable that Russia finished ahead of France, Malaysia and Singapore. The gap with France is small, at about 4,000 visits.
China and India are almost level at 285,000 and 278,000 visits. Together they make up more than 17% of half year arrivals. Australia alone accounts for more than a quarter.
